The Ross Student Farm is hosting a Seed Saving Workshop on Wednesday, September 28 from 5:30-7pm on the farm! This event is open to community members, students, seasoned gardeners, beginning gardeners, anyone with an interest. The workshop will be a hands-on opportunity to learn about seed saving for vegetable crops such as tomatoes, peppers, lettuce, squashes, beans, and more. And there will be some flowers thrown in!
The workshop will be led by Marc Kepler, a home hardener with many years of experience selecting and saving seed here in Centre County.
What to bring:
- Sturdy shoes for walking the farm, and a jacket as it may be chilly
- Your own crops, plants or seeds if you either have questions or would like to offer seeds to other attendees
- Your supper, if you would like—you’re welcome to eat during the workshop
We hope to see you on Wednesday to learn a new skill, make some friends and enjoy an evening on the farm! No RSVP is required, but feel free to let us know you’re coming through the button below.
