Student farmers across programs and universities often face similar experiences as they start and grow their programs, yet there are few spaces for students to gather and collaborate. For the first time ever, the Ross Student Farm is bringing together passionate future food systems leaders at the Northeast Student Farmer Conference at University Park. Attendees will have the chance to share the stories of their programs and learn about others so we can collectively work towards growing and improving our campus food systems.

Students from any university and any major are invited to attend. Penn State attendees do not need to be involved with Student Farm Club, all you need is an interest in food and agriculture!

The conference will be held on Saturday, March 25 at University Park, Pennsylvania and will feature:

  • Farm tours of Penn State’s Student Farm and on-campus pocket garden
  • A presentation by climate activist and comedian
  • Several workshops about interesting skills, like how to use succulent propagation sales to create extra revenue for your program
