Our Feed the People Market Stand is bringing fresh produce directly to campus for students, faculty and staff to enjoy all season long. The Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm and the Lion’s Pantry have partnered to offer a pay-what-you-can farmers market June 27, July 10 and July 24 — to make healthy eating easy and affordable.

The stand is set up near the HUB info tables from 2:30-5 p.m. on select dates. All are invited to come shop student-grown vegetables from the Ross Student Farm.

Produce will vary throughout the year, but this summer season will include vegetables like zucchini, beets, baby kale, scallions, salad mix, and a variety of fresh picked herbs. No payment is required for the produce, but customers are invited to pay what they can using cash, check or Venmo. Donations are also accepted to help support this initiative.

The farm stand is part of Penn State’s greater mission of eliminating nutrition concerns among the campus community. Along with the market, students have access to the newly renovated Lion’s Pantry facility throughout the semester.
