The Student Farm Club is hosting a free succulent container workshop for their last public meeting of the year! The workshop is on April 22 from 6-7 pm and is for University Park students. Students will be able to pick up their supplies on campus prior to the event and then participate in a virtual planting workshop.
The workshop will be led by Shari Edelson, the Director of Operations at the Arboretum at Penn State. Over the past seven years, Edelson has overseen the Arboretum’s horticulture collections and garden construction, including the new Pollinator and Bird Garden.
“Succulents are some of the easiest plants to grow indoors,” Shari said. “All you need is a sunny window, occasional water and a little love! In this hands-on workshop, we’ll provide everything you need to create your own miniature succulent container and guide you through the planting process step-by-step.”
The supplies for the workshop will be provided by the University Park Student Fee, so University Park undergraduate, graduate and professional students can pick them up for free on April 21 or 22.
