Explore our Farm’s Products

The Dr. Keiko Miwa Ross Student Farm encourages entrepreneurship, and there are many ways you can support the farm through purchasing and enjoying products from us. Throughout the year, we offer fresh produce, garden veggie seedlings, and student-designed merchandise like t-shirts and market totes. Keep scrolling to see all the products we offer!

Campus Dining

The bulk of produce grown on the Student Farm is picked and packed by students, then goes straight to campus dining to be enjoyed by students. It’s grown by students, for students! Managing chefs in the five dining commons place weekly or twice-weekly orders with the farm from our pick list. Many other campus units order from us as well, including venues such as the Bryce Jordan Center, Cafe Laura, and HUB Dining.

Campus Supported Agriculture

Our Campus Supported Agriculture program is CSA with a twist. Shares are open to anyone who is part of the campus community: if you have a PSU email, you are eligible to join! We typically offer a 3-week “Maymester” share, an 11-week summer share, and a 8-week fall share. We also offer a single, larger box of fresh veggies for purchase right before Thanksgiving break and Winter break each season. Information about when shares are available is advertised each spring through our email listserv.

Interested in supporting a share for a student facing food insecurity? Through a partnership with the Lion’s Pantry, the Office for Student Care and Advocacy and generous community donations, we offer student shares to increase access to fresh, healthy produce for students who face food insecurity. Email us at studentfarm@psu.edu if you are interested in purchasing a share for a student in need.

Plant Sales

On the last Friday of each spring semester, Student Farm Club hosts a plant sale on campus, featuring student-grown seedlings for home gardeners. The Farm typically also hosts a fall seedlings plant sale in the last week of July each season. In addition, throughout the year the club offers other fun plant purchasing opportunities, such as a plant-your-own succulents station.

Merchandise

Student Farm merch can’t be BEET! It’s a great way to show your love for the farm! Students create fun t-shirts, market totes and other merch that is available for sale at many of our community events. We can also send orders through campus mail throughout the year. Contact us at studentfarm@psu.edu if you’re interested in purchasing something.
