Veggies

Our local vegetables are a healthy, delicious addition to your menus throughout the year. We will have several varieties of plants so you can find the perfect veggies for your needs. Browse the varieties below that we will be offering at our upcoming Plant Sale. Vegetable and herb seedlings are $2.50 each, or 15 for $30.

Students in Student Farm Club grow all of our veggie starts from seed each year, and many of the varieties are also grown on the Student Farm each summer.

NOTE: Please be aware that we grow the seedlings inside a greenhouse, so they need time to harden off, or acclimate to the outdoors. Also, because we are a student club, we cannot hold our event during finals week or after, therefore our sale is always held on the last Friday of each spring semester. The end of April is too cold in our climate zone for planting most veggies outdoors, so we time our plantings so that the seedlings will be slightly small when you purchase them. This timing is to ensure that they can keep growing in the pot you purchased them in without becoming pot-bound over the subsequent 1-3 weeks.
